Building our Business in Somerville

Over the past year, we have come to know Somerville, Massachusetts really well.

First, we had the pleasure of working in Somerville. When we needed the support of a strong cleantech community to launch our Solar Impact Fund, we turned to Somerville-based Greentown Labs.  We benefited from the Greentown community in so many ways. During our time at Greentown, we experienced the diversity and inclusion which makes Somerville so unique.

Second, we began developing projects in Somerville. After extensive project development work in 2017, we are excited to break ground on two commercial solar projects in Somerville in 2018, including Greentown Labs’ new Global Center.  Both Somerville projects (the second of which we will announce soon) will be part of our 2018 Solar Impact Fund.

Third, we were grateful to be honored by Somerville’s Chamber of Commerce, which awarded us the 2017 Green Business of the Year Award.  At the Chamber’s awards ceremony, we shared the stage with awardees that included Governor Charlie Baker and Gentle Giant Founder Larry O’Toole.  It was an inspirational night that showed us the strength of Somerville’s business community.

And now, we’re proud to announce that we will build our business in Somerville. We recently moved into our new office in the heart of Davis Square. Located right on the Red Line, Davis Square has so many wonderful places to eat, drink and invest in solar (well, mainly places to eat and drink!).

We are excited to build Sunwealth for many years to come in the City of Somerville. As a forward-thinking clean energy investment firm focused on decentralizing, decarbonizing and democratizing our energy economy, we can’t think of a better place to call home than Somerville, Massachusetts.

Come visit us at our new home: 1 Davis Square, Suite 302, Somerville, MA 02144
