Bayou Energy - Grant Sunwealth Viewing Access to Your Monthly Electric Bill
What is Bayou Energy
Bayou Energy is a company that partnered with Sunwealth to grant Sunwealth viewing access to Community Solar subscribers’ monthly Eversource bills. They share real-time information on your energy use and solar credits. Their mission is to unify the world around clean energy independence, and they work with community solar providers across the country.
Why does Sunwealth want viewing access of my electric bills?
Sunwealth is asking for viewing access to your monthly Eversource bill to provide the best customer service possible. If your electricity usage changes due to household updates, Sunwealth can adjust your monthly credit allowance based on your real time electricity usage. Additionally, Eversource provides us with solar credit distribution information, but we like to double check that you received your solar credit before we send an invoice!
Can I remove Sunwealth’s viewing access?
Yes! You can reach out to Sunwealth at any point, and we will remove our viewing access to your monthly Eversource bill. communitysolar@sunwealth.com or 617.520.4033.
Can I still join a Sunwealth community solar program if I do not have an online Eversource account?
Yes! Sunwealth may reach out to you once a year to receive a copy of a recent Eversource bill to get an update on your electricity usage.
Can I trust Bayou Energy?
Yes! Bayou works with community solar providers and utilities across the country, and they employ a number of technical, organizational, and physical safeguards to protect the information they collect.
