Boston Globe features Sunwealth CDO Jess Brooks and Climate Justice Advocates
The Boston Globe Magazine featured Sunwealth CDO Jess Brooks in its annual Women and Power issue this Sunday. “On the Front Lines of Environmental Justice: Four Leaders Fighting for Clean Air, Clean Energy, and a Healthy Future” featured Jess and long-time Sunwealth advisor and climate justice advocate Rev. Mariama White-Hammond, along with Yaritza Morales-Gonzalez of Chelsea Green Roots and Susan Buchan of E4theFuture.
Jess talked to reporter Sarah Shemkus about the importance of getting clean energy access, jobs and savings into every community, particularly low- and moderate-income communities, which are often left behind. She also talked about the role financing plays in building a more equitable energy future – and shared her vison of what that future looks like:
“My vision is, you walk through a neighborhood and if you look up you should be able to see solar panels everywhere.”
