Meet the Team: Elizabeth Price

Here at Sunwealth, we’re building a hard-working team committed to building a better clean energy future. Today, we shine a spotlight on Senior Finance Associate, Elizabeth “Ebee” Price.

Elizabeth, known as Ebee to her colleagues, leads Sunwealth’s new deal structuring and supports project finance underwriting, project development, and financial modeling. Prior to joining Sunwealth, Elizabeth worked as an engineer and product developer in the medical device and consulting industries. Elizabeth received her B.S. in Biomechanical Engineering from Stanford University and her Master in Design Engineering Degree from Harvard University, and is also an accomplished Olympic and collegiate gymnast.

We sat down with Ebee to hear more about why she’s passionate about her work.

On what brought her to Sunwealth:
I was searching for a role where I could grow personally and professionally while creating measurable and positive social impact. With my passion for impact investing and developing innovative solutions to bridge the accessibility gaps experienced by underserved communities, Sunwealth was the perfect choice. It offered me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone of engineering and design and into an important role in clean energy investment surrounded by a supportive team, and it was an opportunity I couldn’t miss.

On her favorite part of working at Sunwealth:
My favorite thing about being part of the Sunwealth team is the fact that I can take on multiple roles and tackle diverse projects. As we continuously try to maximize our impact and increase access to solar in a constantly changing physical and industrial environment, there are endless opportunities to explore new ideas, diversify our portfolio, and work with different members of the Sunwealth team on new projects.

On her vision of a better clean energy future:

When I think of a better energy future, I immediately imagine a global clean energy future in which renewable energy and sustainable practices are implemented all around the world. The impact that solar alone has had on sustainability goals shows that there is so much potential for this industry, so I can only imagine what the world would look like and how much we could accomplish if every country were able to easily participate in building that future.

On what solar justice means to her:
To me, solar justice means ensuring that EVERYONE benefits from clean energy technology and policy. Climate change disproportionately impacts underserved communities, so taking steps to ensure equitable action on climate change when developing and expanding solar is crucial to achieving and maintaining solar justice.

On what drives her work:
What drives my work is the sense of urgency associated with the solar industry and Sunwealth’s potential to scale our impact and expand the benefits of clean energy in the communities in which we operate. On top of that, I’m surrounded by a team of individuals who are all working toward a common goal, and that motivates me to do my part both for Sunwealth and in the fight against climate change.
